Is the whole course really free?
Yes. All 4 learning modules and the final online test are free. You can see your test score without paying. A certificate is not included in the free option.
What does the optional £18 payment cover?
It covers your PDF completion certificate, issued after you pass the online test. There is no subscription and no renewal charge.
Do I need an account or payment card to learn?
No. You can study the modules and take the free online test without creating an account or entering card details. An account is needed if you choose the paid certificate option.
How does the test work?
There are 20 multiple-choice questions and the pass mark is 16 of 20. The answers are marked instantly, and if you do not pass you can review the modules and retake it as many times as you need at no extra charge.
Will my employer accept this certificate?
The course is written for UK workplaces and follows UK health and safety law and HSE guidance. Requirements differ between jobs, so if you are training for a specific employer it is worth confirming with them that it meets their needs before you buy.
When do I get my certificate?
If you choose the paid certificate option, pass the online test and complete payment. You can then download your PDF certificate from your account.
Can I do the whole course on my phone?
Yes. The modules and the test work on a phone, tablet or computer.
What if the course is not what I expected?
Email us within 14 days of your purchase and we will refund you in full. You do not need to give a reason. This is our own guarantee, offered on top of your statutory rights rather than instead of them.
Are there any extra fees?
